In 1987 Psychiatrist George Sliwinski was jailed for eight years after shooting to death his wife Alice. He served only three years before being released.
In 1994 he appealed to the Medical Tribunal of N.S.W. (Australia) to be re-registered as a practising psychiatrist. The tribunal found no reason why he should not be re-registered.
Since 1996 he has been working at Gosford and Wyong hospitals.
I wonder how his patients would feel if they knew that they were being treated by a convicted killer?
Alice’s family are, needless to say, outraged. When informed that he was practising again the victim’s sister Noleen Tasoulis said it was “disgusting”.
Hard to argue with that.
