The news out this morning is, as I had suspected from the sparse information already available, that one of the pilots deliberately flew the airplane into the mountain with the loss of life of everyone on board.
Only someone on psychiatric drugs could do something so crazy.
No one on psychiatric drugs should have a license to drive a car, let alone a license to fly a commercial plane.
The risks are well known – enough to be admitted on the packaging.
Who is responsible for the regulations that allow a psychotic to fly a commercial airplane? Why did Germanwings employ him? Did they not know he was on psychiatric drugs? Is there no drug testing of commercial pilots?
